Elite Pro - problem with rack

Hi everybody,

after some years without major problems on Win XP, I moved to Win 7 x64.

The rest of computer did not changed since the move.

Now, the external module does not work properly - no sound from headphones, but the "internal noise" of my computer. The lights are ok (green, blue), the volume command is ok too.

I've tried to change PCI slot, installed three times all the drivers - don't know what to do..

Well , I have a creative x-fi elite pro (which is this one). I bought 2 Yamaha Hs50m ( which are those). So my problem is I dont know how can I connect to my sound card. The hs50s are not connected to each othert. Each one has jak output but there are no place for two input in soundcards as you know. May I use the aux connections ? If I can is there anything cable or piece like jak to mono aux ?

Soundblaster Live! Aux in 2 issue

Hi,

I'm still using an old SB Live! card from the first generation. The card itselve is working fine but i'm having issues with hearing no sound through my speakers when i'm connecting a Xbox360 to the Aux in 2 on the Live! Drive (Front of my pc). I've checked in the AudioHQ and the Aux in 2 is not muted. I've read somewere that the Aux in 2 is on digital audio only by default but i can't find any option in my AudioHQ to put it on analog. Is there someone here that can help me?

A question to Creative

I have an X-fi extreme gamer, I was able to use the vista cd to install all the apps and drivers. The autoupdate worked 3 times but I thought I had gotten all the updates. Now I find the EQ app is missing, How did this happen?????

I would appreciate an answer to this, if you all want to flame on how bad the card is, drivers and creative, go ahead. I will ignore the complainers that troll this board just to post how inept they may be getting system to work normally. The card functions normally and all sound speakers, etc are working normally as far as I can tell.

So, Why or how did the EQ app dissappear????

Recently my satellite speaker tweeter burned. My warranty ended year and a half ago, so maybe someone has spare satellite speaker, and could sell it?

RM-1500 does not work with Windows 7

Hello,

I used the RM-1500 together with my external soundcard SB0490 (don't know the exact name I guess it was something like sb24 live external??)

Now after the update I don't manage to configure the remote. I can't install the remote plugin because it states that i haven't installed a propper version of Creative Media Source although I at least thought that i have done that.

And any other program like intelliremote don't get a signal as well.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Video playback is muffled

I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium sound card. Music and sound effects from Window 7 seem to play fine. I don't notice any quality issues from the playback. But, if I play a video from email, go to You-Tube or even play a DVD then the sound from the playback is muffled. You can't even hear anything, voices, background music, etc.

I've deleted and removed all the drivers and software. Went to Creative and got the latest drivers for this card and I'm still getting the same results.

I can't pin point what has changed in the past week that would cause the problem. It has been operating fine since the end of October and this past week it went into the tank.

I tried restore point, but that didn't fix it either.

I'm look for any suggestions to get this back on track.

Creative Zen Vision: W ON/OFF switch broken

Hi all,

Unfortunately the spring in the ON/OFF switch in my Creative Zen Vision: W is broken, so I can no longer turn the player ON. The switch now moves freely and doesn't turn the player on so I am stuck with a player that works, but doesn't turn on.

I realise that support for this player is limited and that hpes of it being fixed are slim.

However, as this is a much loved player, I am hoping that it can be fixed via an Australian manufacturer or at the least an overseas (Singaporean technical support).

Can anyone help?

Need application software for Audigy Platinum

I just re-installed my Audigy Platinum card and drive into an XP SP3 system, downloaded the latest drivers from Creative and it works just fine (ty Creative!). I even used the optical out connection to my Denon 5.1 AVR and it sounds great.

However, I don't have any of the application software and can't seem to download that software from the website without having some old application software already installed. Is there a work around?

I do have the original disk for the following Creative cards (which I also own):

Sound Blaster 16 PCI (part # 2201ML0003020)

Sound Blaster Live! (part # 2201ML0003060)

Sound Blaster AWE64 (part # 1713330530-1)

I'm reluctant to try installing any of the applications from these disks in order to enable the appropriate application software to be downloaded/installed off the web, as I don't want to risk messing up the present clean driver installation. I did try putting the disks in the dvd drive to see if that would enable the download/install process (this has worked with other products) to no avail.

I would very much like to have the complete set of applications for this still excellent card/drive so I can enjoy the full functionality of the Audigy Platinum.

Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated.

"What u Hear" option doesn't work after I changed the output to SPDIF. The question is, how i could record sound that goes through my audio card (X-Fi Xtreme Gamer).

In windows' recording tab are these options for recording:

Creative Zen M 30GB Freezes Everytime I plug into the computer

Every Time I plug my Zen into to the computer via USB the player freezes and I have to reset.

I have reinstalled the firmware several times, cleanup, and format in the recovery section but still nothing.

If I start the player up with no usb it scrolls through everything just fine.

Any Ideas?

Ok, I have an X-Fi Xtreamgamer card, I play on my PS3, but communitcate with my clan via Ventrilo. So I have my PS3 running in the "Line-In"(Flexijack) and my Mic running from my PC's front Mic port(which is plugged into the card). I can either have Line In running or the Mic In running, not toghter. Which is kinda the who;e reason I did this. The line in and mic in are contradicting each other. Anyway around this. Is there a dogle i can plug into the Flexijack and use my mic and line in at the sametime.

How do i set up my sound card to have full 5.1 surround sound with my Harman Kardon AVR. I plugged my optic cable in my sound card out to my AVR in, then only my rear speaker work. Please help me. :smileysad:

i have my X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series
set for dts-out, but my yamaha reciever will not reconize the signal. i am using the optical connection, on the front panel which then connects to the reciever. i have the PCI Express X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro Series in my other computer which is hooked up to the same reciever and it functions properly not sure why i can't get the same off my other comp? any suggestions?

How do I use my Zen on Windows 7? Any other way?

I downloaded all of the drivers, but the most recent driver for XP will not install for some reason. There aren't any for Vista or Windows 7.

I am stuck with driver 1.21.1.

Windows media player won't play the files I have because the driver is outdated.

I download the Nomad Explorer and it won't let me copy the files over (Access denied).

Is there anything I can do?

Sound Blaster Xtreme Audio missing Stereo Mix

I've tried searching around for a solution and in the process i've done the following:

1. Download the newest drivers (1.04.0090)

2. Clicked 'show disabled devices' in the recording devices section.

Stereo mix/'what u hear' are still missing.

I'm running windows 7 x64.

Any help would be appreciated.

p.s: have also run the auto software update utilities (creative and windows) just in case.

Crackling and popping sounds after a Wndows 7 update, KB974332

I've been testing my system with fresh installations for SB X-Fi titanium on Windows 7.

1- I freshly install Win7, install chipset drivers, ATI Display driver, restart

2- Install all updates on WU except KB974332, restart

3- Install the driver and applications for X-Fi titanium, restart

4- Open windows media player and listen to some music

5- While listening browse some web sites, make some graphical action on desktop.

Everything works fine, music sounds pretty good, no popping-crackling.

But after installing KB974332 (Which is an application compatibility update) sound is incredibly annoying.

Music slows down with graphical interaction on desktop, popping sounds etc.

Uninstalling the update didin't solve the problem. Just had to uninstall every creative app. drivers and reinstall.

And now I 've hidden the KB974332 update on WU.

(I also tried with danielk's driver pack, everything's the same)
