Type: Zen V plus

Capacity: 2GB

Date: Month: 12 Day:05 Year: 2005

Price: €100-€170

Country: Netherlands (Western Europe)

It is a great player, never had difficulties with it. But now its falling apart :smileysad:

Rows of pixels(horizontal) are failing (sometimes, now 3 rows), but it still works good.

I love it, would even a new one if they were still on the market(or an ordinary Zen V),

because i love the simplicity of the controls, its easy to acces everything.

And the sound is perfect. But i can't buy them anymore over here sadly. :smileysad:

So: Screw Ipod, I want CREATIVE :smileyvery-happy:

I dont want touchscreen or a metal cassing, the only thing i want is a MP3

with high quality sound, that is easy to control(and be able to see a list

of songs and what your playing on the moment). Creative Zen V ROCKS!

Hi everybody,

after some years without major problems on Win XP, I moved to Win 7 x64.

The rest of computer did not changed since the move.

Now, the external module does not work properly - no sound from headphones, but the "internal noise" of my computer. The lights are ok (green, blue), the volume command is ok too.

I've tried to change PCI slot, installed three times all the drivers - don't know what to do..

Do you mean enter them as one trough the headphone input?. I have tried that but as I told before those monitors are not connected to each other. They act by them self. I have cable like your 2 jack into 1. I entered it through headphone but my monitors act as one. There is no left and right it just centred. They play mono as one like paralel.

Well , I have a creative x-fi elite pro (which is this one). I bought 2 Yamaha Hs50m ( which are those). So my problem is I dont know how can I connect to my sound card. The hs50s are not connected to each othert. Each one has jak output but there are no place for two input in soundcards as you know. May I use the aux connections ? If I can is there anything cable or piece like jak to mono aux ?

Thank you

Hi,

I'm still using an old SB Live! card from the first generation. The card itselve is working fine but i'm having issues with hearing no sound through my speakers when i'm connecting a Xbox360 to the Aux in 2 on the Live! Drive (Front of my pc). I've checked in the AudioHQ and the Aux in 2 is not muted. I've read somewere that the Aux in 2 is on digital audio only by default but i can't find any option in my AudioHQ to put it on analog. Is there someone here that can help me?

Thanks,

Dennis

Re: Integrated CREATIVE Sound Blaster(R) X-Fi MB Audio Software Solution & Software Kit

Hi Kiran,

Well I would start off with explaining what exactly SB X-Fi MB is.. Well it is only a software enhancement by creative which is used to get the performance and tweaking abilities of X-Fi in motherboards with integrated sound card. Basically, the hardware manufacturer provides a driver which in a certain way emulates X-Fi and then there is this software which is used to adjust the sound.

Now, coming to the second issue. Well this software is specifically for VISTA! You cant install it in XP. Earlier DELL used to give a link to the XP users from where they could download there SB software. Back then Creative used to offer Sound Blaster Audigy.

Now coming to the performance... This software enhances quality of sound and has a powerful suite of features. To sum it up it is really wonderful. I have been using it from two years. Earlier I used SB Audigy and now I use SB X-Fi MB in an Inspiron 1545. Hope my little explanation helps you.

Same problem here.

Usually card works fine until two applications use the sound card simultaneously, for example, playing a game with a music player running in background.

I have an X-fi extreme gamer, I was able to use the vista cd to install all the apps and drivers. The autoupdate worked 3 times but I thought I had gotten all the updates. Now I find the EQ app is missing, How did this happen?????

I would appreciate an answer to this, if you all want to flame on how bad the card is, drivers and creative, go ahead. I will ignore the complainers that troll this board just to post how inept they may be getting system to work normally. The card functions normally and all sound speakers, etc are working normally as far as I can tell.

So, Why or how did the EQ app dissappear????

Thanks in advance to all that answer this message with help

Glenn

I negelected to delete the file for my -32bit system, but the only problem I have is; the only way to get Digital sound out in movies, tv, or sound out in games is thru Windows Media Center. If I start a movie without WMC by going thru power dvd 9 ultra then I cant get digital out, also if I start a game without WMC then I will receive no sound.

hope this helps!

Regards,

Asamp

JMacGuire,

I'm holding my breath but I think your solution worked. I had to disable the CMSS-3D feature and I can hear the audio on video now.

So like I said, I'll hold my breath and see if this works but for now you had the right solution.

Thanks so much.

Greg

What that means is:

If you only have two speakers, or headphones and you tell your program that you have four or five, then it is trying to play the sounds to all five and you can only hear two.

If you have four or five speakers on your desk, and you tell the program or sound card setting that you only have two, then you are going to be missing some sounds. Go to control panel and sound, and speakers and configure, and there make sure you choose however many speakers you physically have. Do not choose "full range" speakers. Then in your program that you are listening to music or movies with, choose however many speakers you chose in the control panel earlier. If you have a setting for your sound card, or other software you are using, try turning that on or off. I have five speakers, for example. If I have a stereo song (2 channels) and I turn on CMSS-3d then it upmixes the song to all five channels.

If I have a dolby 5.1 movie that means the movie can play from all five speakers. If I set my speaker settings in the software to two, and I have five, then I wont hear all the sound. Also if you have a button, like I do, on your speakers that upmixes the sound, that may be doing the job for you, twice. I have a "matrix" button, which will upmix stereo to four or five channels.
