I am back after about 4 hour for i say all the world i disconected X-Fi Titanium Champion i pulll out of my computer i reinstall win xp 64 bit i put the same drivers of chipset the same codecs for video movie and BINGO with the SOUNDMAX integraded audio motheboard at my asus p5q deluxe and i tested 5 movie full hd at 1080p in format .MKV and WORK PERFECLTY WORK FLUENT ..**bleep** PEOPLE i pay 200 euro for a X-Fi Titanium Champion who don't work good when the sound of integraded motheboard works good.

FOR CREATIVE LABS i say one single word :MODAY i return the product at warranty with all my specification with the problems ..if they return to me the sound card and say it's ok i return another time and i call support consumer and i assure all the world i take my money back .SHAME YOU CREATIVE !!!!!!

i tried it the other day and 9.10 was the first version to play sound by default without needing to install drivers. i'm really a noob at linux but i got it to install on the previous version if ubuntu without much trouble. i just had to look up a guide, i think i had to extract it and then type make install in terminal.

I have a X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro Series.

I just recently updated my audio drivers using the autoupdater and now I can no longer use a splitter cable. I used to use the splitter cable to have my headphones and speakers plugged in at the same time. If I plug the splitter in now It splits the sound so left channel is say the headphones and right channel is the speakers. I have headphone detection off.

Same here. Kernel headers cannot be found. It is not in /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.31-15-generic. I have it in my older linux headers folder.

A post claims that installing this will work

X-Fi XtremeGamer BSOD in Windows 7

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. On-board sound was working fine. (Yes it is disabled with the SoundBlaster installed ;))

Everything on my system was stable until I installed this card.

After days of going back and forth with Tech support , all they said was:

It is strongly recommended that you move the card to a different PCI 
slot, especially if it is currently installed next to a graphics card.

You can also reseat the card to ensure that the card is firmly seated in
the slot.

Changing PCI slots often resolves Interrupt Request (IRQ) conflicts 
between the Sound Blaster card and other devices such as graphics card 
or integrated peripherals.

DUH!

Anyone have any useful suggestions?

You took care of an issue I had where the headphone output was not recognized on my Audigy 2 ZS Platinum front panel.

Before installing your pack, sometimes the speakers were totally disabled after inserting and removing headphones and a reboot was required to get the speakers to work again. :manvery-happy:

No 3D sound from X-FI ExtreameGamer

I installed a X-FI Extreamgamer and drivers for Win7. I get sound from all 4 speakers (4.1 setup) just fine, but it's the same sound getting sent to all speakers. When someone runs toward and past me the sound of the footsteps as they approach from the front should come from the front speakers, and after they pass me should switch to the rear speakers as they are going away. This isn't happening. EAX is enabled in the Creative tabs and in the game (LotRO). I know the game is fine because the old motherboard had onboard sound that worked just fine like it was supposed to.

Other then no 3D sound, everything seems fine. How do I go about getting real 3D sound from this card? I have all the latest drivers from Creative/OpenAL/Asus.

I have the same problem like all who have X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion.

I install windows at 4 times with 4 different install at the driver and the i/o don't work corectly .

I have a DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 3000 MHz (9 x 333) with GTX 260 video card with 2 x2 gb memory Corsair Dominator CM2X2048-8500C5D with Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition with DirectX 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c) with motheboard Asus P5Q Deluxe with power source COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro RS-850 so i install windows i intsall the driver for chipset Intel_ChipsetInf_V9001009 i restart pc i install net framework restart,i install video driver i restart,i install all updates for windows +mediaplayer 11 i restart, i download at the creative site drivers for win xp 64 bit XFTI_PCDRV_LB_2_17_0007 and CSL_PCAPP_LB_2_61_09 i install first driver i reset pc i intsall console i reset pc ..the i/o work when i put the headphone but when i push the xfi-cms and xfi crystalizer the buton crash the led remain with power i can push on and after push off ..i push of and of remain but when i open the console and i select xfi crystalizer on and off and again on and off the led work good but when i make this on my software pc.

Ok ..this is first problem .The second problem is when i put the headphone in the front panel headphone is working but in the speakers who is connect at the xfi card front(l+r),rear(l+r),center +sub in the speakers when i put headphone in the fron panel i hear a noise like when you pull the jack and the jack is not connected a frosted noise ,when i disconect the headphone the frosted noise is no longer and the sound is good .All the time when i make tis operation with the headphone the frosted noise i hear in THE SPEAKERS .I am obligate to turn off the amplifier with all the 5+1 speakers when i use the headphone.

I write to creative the response is no tgood to me.

CONCLUSION : CREATIVE sale product but drivers is not good and not tested enough.

Before that X-Fi Titanium Fatality Champion i have a X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series and i sale it and now i cry it becouse that X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series WORK perfectly with all WINDOWS no crash no error.

And the final problem who i have and i will pray all the people who read this to write me here ..so the final problem is when i play the movie the all movie have a hang up like a old disc who is shake it ..the movie is no rolling fluent ..has little stoping .

I am shure is not my codecs guiltiness becouse with my frist X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series work good.

And if an Creative stuff read this after i install windows driver for chipset and frame work and driver for video card and driver for
X-Fi Titanium Fatality Champion i install only ac3filter_1_51a with coreavc_professional_edition-setup 1.9.5.0 and i play after with media player clasic .. i try with xvid with ffdshow with bsplyer i try all the combination .

Now when i finish to write on this forum for I be certain; the problem is at X-Fi Titanium Fatality Champion i install windows again i disconect on the motheboard Asus p5q deluxe,the sound card , and i use the sound card at the default motheboard and if the movie is working good imedialty i will call in court creative .

Need all the people in the world to answer at the problem .

I hope i have clear in my message with the problem .

If an Creative stuff want to use my pc i make a remote adminstration for him for use my pc at distance and resolve the problem and work at a new driver but if the CREATIVE stuff is close-mouthed i am sory but i don't stay and do nothing.

This is my problem..i hope creative work at a new driver with resolve all the problem who i write here

I will back after use the soundcard on the motheboard with news.

p.s. I can uninstall the driver later but if, when in device manager clicking on the multimedia controller unknown device, I update the driver and navigate to the driver folder and install the WDM I get sound. However, nothing else will install manually... why won't the setup file off the root install properly?

Tell you what creative, if you don't get into gear & sort out all these windows 7 problems asap I'll be jumping ship to the Asus Xonar & throwing my fatal1ty in the bin, as I've also just found the xonar also supports eax 5 via emulation.

My cable quite same as yours but it dosent work. As I told before , when you use a cable like this the monitors become one and mono , not stereo (because they become to paralel). Also I checked the sound card there are 3 line in (pin jack) but it dosent write anything like L/R only 1-2-3 line in. Do you use the sound card inputs or the external input ? Are you sure about that you are hearing stereo from yours ? I might buy another cable as yours if you are sure but I dont think that it will work. Like I said my monitors are not connected to each other. So I have to line in as divided L/R. You can think like I have to separated speaker and I want to line in one of them Left the other one to right

5.1 surround GAMES on PC

Ok, this is far too confusing. I have been researching this for too long now. Because of all the misleading advertising/packaging/information, I am now the proud owner of TWO Creative sound cards. I will be returning at least one of them, possibly both, depending on how this turns out.

Here's what I want to do:

Play 5.1 surround sound GAMES on my Win Vista PC. Simple, huh?

Here's what I own:

1. a big ol' flatscreen TV

2. a home stereo/receiver/DVD player with 5.1 surround sound -- it has an optical audio input (decodes dolby)

3. a new PC

4. soundcard #1: X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Pro PCI-E

5. soundcard #2: X-FI XtremeGamer PCI

Apparently, neither of these cards will do what I want...

The XtremeGamer does not have the rectangular-shaped optical output that I need to connect to my home stereo system, it only has the little round one which only supports stereo sound, not 5.1 surround.

The Titanium Fatal1ty Pro does have the rectangular-shaped optical output... but... I read this post stating that won't give me surround sound either. Basically, from what I understand, PC games use EAX technology instead of Dolby. So, even though I have the correct plugs, it still won't work (not in 5.1 surround anyway).

So........... it sounds like what I need to do is return the Titanium Fatal1ty Pro and go buy a speaker system that lets me plug in all those "headphone jacks" (pink, light blue and orange) on the XtremeGamer.

Is this correct? If so, which speaker systems can I buy?

I'm hoping somone can help me out, using plain English :)

It is a great player, never had difficulties with it. But now its falling apart :smileysad:

Rows of pixels(horizontal) are failing (sometimes, now 3 rows), but it still works good.

I love it, would even a new one if they were still on the market(or an ordinary Zen V),

because i love the simplicity of the controls, its easy to acces everything.

And the sound is perfect. But i can't buy them anymore over here sadly. :smileysad:

So: Screw Ipod, I want CREATIVE :smileyvery-happy:

I dont want touchscreen or a metal cassing, the only thing i want is a MP3

with high quality sound, that is easy to control(and be able to see a list

of songs and what your playing on the moment). Creative Zen V ROCKS!
