Something is also rearranging my desktop icons. Could it be a virus or something?
There are a few desktop icons that will reappear after I delete them. I have 22 icons lined up vertically in rows of three. Four of these icons are unwanted and keep reappearing after I delete them This has gone on for about three weeks and I'm not sure what's causing it.

What are the icons?
Do you have the folder view set to show hidden and system files? Do you have hide protected system files unchecked?
If any of these are true than it may be system files that are coming back (desktop.ini is an example of one of these).
If not then a complete malware/anti-virus scan may be warranted.
