    Atif,

You've lost me back there dude. Your post seems truncated. Can you repost your entire message? Else I do not see how the SoundBlaster Central is related to battery life.

Hope to see your updated post here.

    Cheers,

Re: Digital Connections, SPDIF and Dolby Digital Info

Hello, I need some help with my Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro. I'm using a Sony Vaio laptop (not the latest model...) with Windows 7 and the latest Creative drivers.
How can i get AC3/Dolby Digital/DTS passthrough at the digital optical output? (Not re-encoded with Dolby Digital Live)
There is no Decoder options tab that clearly states DD/DTS passthrough, like there is for some others SB cards. There is only the DDLive option.
I've read in article 76771 that if the DDL encoder option is off, SPDIF passthrough is possible, but "SPDIF Passthrough is configurable under software applications"
Witch applications are that? I've set my player (MPC-HC, KM, VLC) to SPDIF passthrough, but I only get PCM 2-channel downmix.
    Please advise

    Thank you.
