Surround Sound in Windows Control Panel? (rage/wrath/omega)

Does windows 7/8 detect these headsets as surround sound devices? What I mean is that are you able to select 5.1/7.1 in the sound panel or is it stuck in 2.0.

The reason im asking this is because some games rely on this setting to determine if it will output stereo or surround.

In Win 8 you can adress the Omega Wireless as Stereo or 7.1. Also in the gamemenu (2nd Post with link - 1st picture - blizzard game ) it was detected as 7.1.

Tested today.
