Any hope or even Generic Drivers for old SB Live card ?

I upgraded my machine to windows 7 from XP. The SB live card is not recognized.
I don't need anything fancy, just listening to 2 channel music and skype.
So even a very simple driver is great.

Any hope, it's not even listed on the Windows 7 Driver page

As stated in the driver availability chart, <span class="text">Creative products not listed <span class="text">may be classified as discontinued products which will not have additional driver updates within the software development plan.

Please list what card you have. Daniel Kawakami, a member on this forum, has revamped/improved and unified the Creative software for installation under Xp, Vista, and now Windows 7. Perhaps these may help you.......

Admittedly, they have problems still, but they are better than nothing. Daniel has done an outstanding job with these considering how old they are. The requirement I would like you to pay attention to is that you cannot have more than 2 gigs of RAM.

Lastly, Ebay has a wealth of great, great Creative cards like the Audigy 2 ZS for $5.00 to $30.00 US or $3 to $8 UK

I picked up one meself for about $8.00 US and later another for about $3.00

I downloaded old win xp drivers from creative site, and on the second try when win7 suggested using some settings it worked.

Thanks for the tip - so orig sound card is working with old driver on win 7.

I have a Creative SB PCI28 (Ensoniq ES37) sound card. any idea of a generic driver or some hope for making a driver to it to Windows 7?
I just can't make it work...
