    Emu 1010pcie gets too hot

A few days ago I bought an PCIe 1010 to connect my Windows PC to another RME Multiface via ADAT Lightpipe. It works but as I start a game my graphic cards heat up my PC chassis and the 1010 starts to make heavy dropouts so that it is unusable. The problem is, the 1010 is located above my graphic cards because I only have 2 PCIe slots free.

If I put it in the other free slot which is located under the hot graphic cards the card stays cold, but the card makes the pc freeze. After a few minutes of audio usage it just freezes or freezes with an BSOD.

Any advise? I think a soundcard should NEVER be this sensible to heat like this one. I think I'll return this card because it seems to be an damaged one.

    greetings

Got my replacement card today. It seems that this card works fine , so I guess my previous one was defective.
