    SB X-Fi Titanium Fata1ty Champion - Control Panel Won't Work (Windows 10)

    Hello!

I'm currently having an issue where my SB Control Panel doesn't recognize that I have my sound card installed and working but can't open the control panel because of this. I've upgraded to Windows 10 Pro (x64) from Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) and had to wait for the Win 10 driver for my sound card to be available. After installing the drivers, my sound card works now but regardless, the control panel still say that I have no SB product installed on my system.

Anyone think they can help me with this?

I am having the same problem. Have attempted reinstall several times - control panel message says no supported device can be found, yet the device is working.

I uninstalled old, and installed as well. NOTHING.

I've tried uninstalling and all and still came out with the same results, CP not picking up my card so it doesn't run still.

Also, has anyone had an issue where after installing the new drivers and restarting your PC sometime afterwards, the drivers stop working until you reinstall them again? I'm having that problem right now as I'm typing this.

Disabling hardware updates from Windows Update solved this problem for me. Seems like everytime I installed the Creative software, Windows 10 thought it knew better than me and Creative and reinstalled the driver from Microsoft.

To disable Windows Update driver downloads:

Right click on This PC on the desktop or from File Explorer
    Click on Properties
    Click on System protection
    Choose the Hardware tab
    Click on Device Installation Settings
Choose Never install driver software from Windows Update
I left the Automatically get the device app and info provided by your device manufacturer box checked
    Click Save changes
    Click OK
    Close System control panel

    Install Creative drivers again.

This is basically the same way I always set up Windows 7 as well. Once I did this, the Creative drivers seem to stick and the Creative Control Panel now works for me.

    Good luck!

Have same problem with Audio Control Panel, Console Launcher and Speaker setup in Windows 10. Have done clean reinstall twice - proper Creative NOT Windows driver is in place, a number of the other software components work. Still cannot detect card or not supported. This is Titanium Model 1270. Keep getting the same answers back from Creative = no solution.

Also disabled on board sound device to be certain there was no conflict. Still Nothing.

Worked for me as well. Windows 10 64bit XFI Titanium. Thanks for your advice nmcbride. Afraid Creative doesn't read their own customer blogs. Have spent three days struggling with this before seeing your post.

Really...shame on Creative...running W10 home 64 on a X-fi Titanium SB0880, with XFTI_PCDRV_2_40_0011.exe drivers as sugested on their site. As per Control panel, nothing like before, will try to post screen image of a program called control panel...wich does not work, stuck on "game mode". Will try solution from nmcbride see what happens. Tried to reinstall several times, everything cleaned up, same result. Asked for support, no answer, Creative really doesn
