    Soundblaster Z Win 10 64bit and Civilization 6 (Firaxis)

    Soundblaster Z Win 10 64bit and Civilization 6 (Firaxis)
When using more than 44000Khz for Midi the sound in the game is high pitched and too fast !
The Game developer says it is the fault of the SB Z drivers ,

are there any beta drivers available to solve that, as I already have the last one installed ?

Or is there no solution and I could only use now settings below 44000Khz for my soundcard ?
Which is working, but sometimes the game crashes and freezes the pc accompanied with a high pitch noise !

    Thanks

    Hi FlashXAron,

There is a workaround to the issue, you can play Civilization 6 in Stereo Direct mode.

But my extern Amplifier is only connected with that 5.1 cables ...

I assume I would need to connect it with an optical cable to hear something ?

    ...
No nothing, don't hear anything, when I choose

    Stereo Direct or Headset

not on Optical Input of my AMP
nor on the 5.1 analog input, what was somehow logic :-)

    Hi FlashXAron,

You will have to connect it with an optical cable but Stereo Direct cannot be selected anymore as you will want to output audio in 5.1 channels.

You will have to enable Dolby Digital Live to get surround sound.

I have sent you a private message.

ohh got it to work ... have deactivated it in device manager, thought it would help Civ VI not to crash !

    Hi ,
I had the same issue using ZXR with 96Khz , it took me awhile and just till now to understand why it happened to me, I always selected 96Khz for both Playback Devices and Recording Devices and it always randomly happened when I started Skype or Discord or any voice chat ... 96Khz is just not working, I'm not sure the registry fix will work 100% most of the times or it will keep happen, cause it kept happening less but still while using 96Khz . So using 48Khz fix all the issues with or without the reg.

But can you fix it ? did you fix it with the newest drivers released just now ? SBZxR_CD_L13_1_01_04
