    Re: Headphone port stopped working after Windows 10 forced a driver update

    Just a heads up for the users cause obviously nobody in Creative cares: Windows 10 Release Candidate 3 build 1709 (16299.15) again installs the broken driver version 6.0.105.8, so again in Headphone mode I can't hear anything on my headphones.
    Thanks for not giving a **** for the last 4 months, Creative!

    EDIT: checking https://www.catalog.update.microsoft...o%20controller revealed that Creative updated their 6.0.105.8 to 6.0.105.10 - which is awesome and all, but I can't install it - Windows says the latest driver is already installed, no matter if I have 6.0.105.8 or 6.0.103.34

    @ threepwood: you tried it?

    Barabadorx the reason it not install may have to do with it for a diff device
    6.0.105.11 = Sound BlasterX AE-5
    6.0.105.10 = Sound BlasterX AE-5
    6.0.103.34 = Sound Blaster Audigy Fx
    6.0.103.30 = Sound Blaster Audigy Fx
    6.0.103.25 = Sound Blaster Audigy Fx
    6.0.103.24 = Sound Blaster Audigy Fx
    6.0.102.50 = Sound Blaster Z
    6.0.102.37 = Sound Blaster Z

    Where did you find that info? 6.0.103.34 & 6.0.105.8 are still being delivered for my Sound Blaster Z so if that's the case Creative has no ****ing idea what they're doing. Well at least 6.0.103.34 works with no issues.

    EDIT: oh, I see, someone here figured it out: http://www.overclock.net/t/1337761/o...ries-club/5510

    I open up each cab file and look in inf file scroll down to [Strings] line from there you see what hardware it goes to.
    That odd I don't get 6.0.103.34 nor 6.0.105.8 mine is 6.0.102.50

    Now real question is where is that Sound BlasterX AE-3 ?

    What part do you NOT GET Barabadorx
    I get no Sound Blaster Audio Controller thru Update Driver no matter how I do it even with fresh clean of Windows 10 RS3 (Fall Creators Update) builder 16299
    The only way I was to get Sound Blaster Audio Controller is rip the driver from SBZ_CD_L13_1_01_10.exe

    LOL, easy there buddy, I don't get why you're not getting a newer driver than 6.0.102.50 cause I had one offered even on Windows build 15063.608, so I assumed you might be watching the wrong option as this one still says that version number even on the newest Windows build.
