    Hi The_Patcher,

It is up to the developers to decide if there will be an updated driver for the Sound Blaster Zx. But for issues and feedback regarding the driver, it is recommended to contact Creative support.

According to SHS in this post, the current solution is to use a zip file extractor and install the driver of the Sound Blaster Zx manually.

Why these here forums aren't considered enough as a bug report for the support team to take any action?

The whole "contact support" procedure requires too many actions, too much unnecessary data to input, while all I want is to report the **** problem with my headphones being dead in Headphone Mode on SBZ.

Most of us are busy people who don't have time to fill 50 different report forms.

    Hi Barabadorx,

Are you able to solve the problem after installing the driver manually?

It really the your job to pass this on to developers to have them address the apps issue as that where is broken at.
It would be nice to see SoundBlasterX AE-3 out if it still being plan for.

This article on Microsoft support website shows how to temporarily prevent a driver update from reinstalling in Windows 10.

If you installed the Fall Creators Update and you have problems with your Z / zx / zxr do this:

    1. Deinstall all Creative Drivers and Programs.
    2. Restart your PC
    3. After Restart do a Windows update and let him install the Creative Soundblaster Driver
    4. Restart again
    5. Now install the Creative Drivers
    6. Restart again
    7. Now your Creative z / zx / zxr should work again with no problems.

Testet on two PCs, one with SBZ and the other one with SBZXR.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi MiLoCzE,

Do you want to try to reinstall the driver?

Are you playing audio through the Dolby Digital Live or DTS Connect encoders?
