Soundblaster Z Audio Cuts out until click Dolby/DTS in control Panel

    Hi,
I am running my soundblaster Z through optical - it works well for a lot of the time then randomnly all audio stops.

It works again when I press the Dolby Digital Live or Dts Connect button in the control panel.

    I have tried reinstalling drivers.

PCI express power saving is off.

I believe BIOS is booting in Slow / legacy mode.

Any idea how to fix this ?

I am on a Ryzen system.

    Many Thanks,
    Rob

Same issue here and I'm also on Ryzen... What motherboard are you using?

    Hi Rob,

You may want to try to disable "HPET" in BIOS to see if it helps.

I have sent you a private message.

    Thanks, replied.

For people having this issue, you may want to try this driver: http://forums.creative.com/showthread.php?t=742124
It worked for me. several hours with no issues at all.

Have the same problem on my Z and this some sort of beta drivers are kinda tricky to install I have them now however I had some errors during installation then I did a manual one , then some extras was missing then I used the installer to repair the **** thing , not sure so far if this really did the trick .

nop!!! this drivers didn't do the trick , it happens again during music play , random just like that audio cuts out I have to go to SB control panel > CINEMATIC push NO ENCODER and RE ENABLE Encoder then the audio comes back .
WTF??? didn't expect that from a 100USD card I bought it exclusively because of DTS I and DDL now this seems NOT to work as it should and I got sick and tired with the same parade with on on-board Realtek . Now again same ****ing thing!... clicks and pops during playback and worse of all this random cut out ???...Are manufactures so mental this days so they cant keep their drivers up to ****ing date and operational ..what is this BS ???

    dvojinov

I had the same problem with my ZxR. I tried the above "solutions" to no avail. I returned the card ans got an ASUS Strix DlX. Works perfectly!!

Creatives products are crap (especially the drivers...)

like asus drivers are any better ? BS! they are even worse then Creative ,talking form experience and that STRIX of yours doesn't even have Encoding capability so no DTS Interactive or DDL and this is a must for me . I personally don,t give a **** about that 600ohm hi quality amp SBZ or STRIX have .
And just found out after about hour and a half in a game it cut out ..fck, Creative!!! do some driver BS or some fcking thing ! I have Opened a case with Crative support .
