Sound Blaster Connect 2 - Microphone settings do not stick

Every time I reboot, my microphone settings get reset. Because the microphone port is such garbage on Creative cards, I have to enable noise reduction.

So every time I boot my computer I now have to toggle noise reduction.

Even if I create a personal profile, and visually it says it is enabled, I still need to toggle it off, and on again, on a boot, for it to actually work.

    Hi there,

You may want to contact Creative support to feedback on the issue.

You may want to install the latest driver and see if you still encounter the same issue.

Already on latest driver. Here is a video of the problem:

    Hi NotEvenUsing,

    I have watched the video.

On the video, the "Noise Reduction" setting did not save after you have closed and reopened Sound Blaster Connect 2.

I have tested the Sound Blaster Connect 2 software. When I restarted the computer after enabling "Noise Reduction", "Noise Reduction" is still enabled but the noise cancellation effect is not as strong as it was before I restarted the computer.

I tried to toggle "Noise Reduction" off and on again and the noise reduction became stronger than it was when I restarted the computer. Noise reduction was there but was weaker because when I toggled it off, the noise became stronger.

But after disabling noise reduction and re-enabling noise reduction, the noise reduction is better than it was when it was on visually.

It may be a bug on the software as the escalation team of Creative support has contact to the developers directly, you may want to contact Creative support to feedback on the issue.

Did you install the driver with the filename, BXAE5_PCDRV_L13_3_2_16_0.exe?

It is recommended to uninstall the previous version of the software before installing the latest version of the driver.
