setting up speakers

I have a flight simulator running Microsoft flight simulatorx. I am running two rear speakers and two seat shaker transducers . My speaker hookup to the speakers and transducers work fine. However when I pug in my headset to the USB port in a few seacods my sound to the speakers goes away. On my set up I have one 3.5mm lead going to my sub woofer amp. I have on lead gong to my speakers. My computer has a creative sound balster fx extreme sound card installed. Any imformation on this problum woud be appreciated.

Re: setting up speakers

I don't think that would work. USB headsets usually function as another audio device by itself. So your system have to choose between the headset or the sound card as the default audio device, you can't have both running at the same time. If you have a headset that uses a 3.5mm mini jack, you can connect it to the Line Out 1 for sound.
