this really needs to be resolved. i am new to this, but last time i reloaded my firmware was in july or august and it worked great. now...my vision:M 30G is recognized by every single app on my pc except the firmware loading application...?
i dont know what to do, i guess all i really can do is wait for a firmware update..
(please, someone tell me there is another way..!! i feel like i have tried everything!)
I have also continued to try everything I find on the postings and nothing works.
anyone from Creative monitoring this thread? Why the %^^%^$% don't you guys get off your $#^$^$ and give us all a solution. I cannot understand how this is the fault of WMP11. I also can get everything else on my PC to recognize the player except for Creative's stupid firmware updater. If Creative knew a thing about customer service they would be jumping all over this. This hit and miss, trial and error stuff is for the birds.
Hello Creative, is ther anybody out there??
Well, off to the Apple Store tommorrow for some great deals

bit of a n00b really, so plz excuse if the answer already lies within the forum.
basically, i reckon i've killed my zen touch doing a firmware update so WMP11 will recognise it. obviously that was a bad move.
i had no idea wat to do so i ran ZenTouchP4S_PCFW_LB_2_11_01.exe to see if that does the trick, dunno wat happened there really, seems like it just stoped and went into recovery mode, so i performed all the available tasks in rec. mode and tried to install ZenTouch_PCFW_L4_1_01_03.exe to see if i could reinstall some firmware onto it.
which tells me that my player is not connected. so is it dead? or is there some way of rescuing my zen touch? probs my own fault anyway for doing my usual thing and not following instructions... except now i've killed a $400(at the time) MP3 player.

Zen Xtra 60GB which has been working for years perfectly well is not completely useless after the Firmware upgrade died and killed it.
I can see it listed is device manager and it is detected when it's plugged in by the OS but not by MP11 or Creatives firmware installer.
Creative really needs to fix this problem!
Jon.
