Zen vision M 30GB blank white screen

I have scanned the forum for a smiliar problem but I need more help.
My Zen vision M, 30GB player is a 2004 model, my Operating system is Windows Vista, 32-bit. I'm not sure what firmware I have on my player. As of last week, I have only a blank white screen; I have backed up all my contents and dowloaded the recovery tool with no result.
After contacting Customer service, they sent me to the forum to look for help or buy a new unit...just want to make sure there is no other recourse I can pursue.

A white screen can not be repaired it must be replaced. It is a hardware issue not software. You can do it yourself. Purchase another screen & replace it. I have done this many times. Instructions for opening & disassembly of the player here http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=TheGadgetDr#p/
