Advice regarding anyone wanting to use USB headsets with soundcards.

1, you CANNOT use usb headsets with or thru any soundcard.

2, Any sound from ANY source into any soundcard cannot and will not be sent out thru your USB headphones or headset.

3, ANYTHING going into a soundcard can only be heard on regular speakers/headset/phones connected to the line out/headphone/spkr output jacks.

4, you cannot control or set bass, treble, balance or any efx on a soundcard AND have those sent thru USB headsets or even usb speakers.

Any soundcard settings/controls cannot do anything at all to the sound you hear thru usb headsets/phones or speakers.

USB audio does not go anywhere near any soundcard and cannot be made to do so.

IF you want to use ANY usb headset/phones or speakers to hear music/sounds thru  those then you HAVE to set those to be the default playback device in windows.

The point of all this is because of all those who keep asking about using  or trying to use their soundcards with ANY usb device as listed in this post.

There is NO way that you can pass/send any sound thru any soundcard into ANY USB audio output device.

Good advice musicman. I have a Usb headset which I no longer use. Another point I want to make known is that when you use a USB headset it disables the soundcard, so you cannot use the soundcard to record or anything while the Headset is plugged in.
