Class Action Filing

Everyone, please do everyone a favor and call up at least three attorneys in your area on Monday to inquire about the possibility of putting together a class action.  If you find a firm willing, please post their details and make sure that they're willing to commit to organizing a class action against all states in the US.  Let's hit them where it hurts, and take away some of the luxuries that we helped the executives afford at our expense of horrible customer service and support.

A similar thread has been opened here.

Note that that thread was closed by KokChoy-CL, citing "this is not a suitable topic for discussion in the forums".

Excuse me, KokChoy-CL... but these are the Creative USER forums. To quote, "These forums are primarily intended for user interaction". And we think this is EXACTLY the kind of topic that IS suitable for this forum.

If you close of delete our topics, we'll just open new ones. If you ban us, we'll just re-register with a different name and e-mail address. We will NOT be censored. We DO have a right to speak. We DO have a right to be heard.

It's a fact - the more you try to opress a group of people, the harder they are going to hit back. You have already created a **bleep**storm, it seems that that isn't enough...

I have just e-mailed the following:

- www.nmanet.nl (Dutch Fair Trade Commision)

- Neelie Smit Kroes (European Union Minister, probably best known for fining Microsoft for monopoly practises)

- www.reclamecode.nl (Dutch organisation that monitors claims made in advertisements)

Wow aren't you big and scary.

Nevermind that they can just delete the forums entirely.

Re: Class Action Filing

Then we'll just organize somewhere else. And if they do take such action, I'm sure several of us will be organizing moralfags on Ebaums and the *chans for plain and simple retaliation.

Re: Class Action Filing

First of all, I wanted to point out Ebaums sucks.

Second of all, your law suit will go nowhere because I believe that creative  states in their EULA that modding drivers is against their copyright.

Thirdly, it's pointless. They have plenty of money and all your doing is looking for a cheap buck or two.

And finally, ARE YOU ******* SERIOUS?  They're drivers for ****'s sakes!

Re: Class Action Filing

Ebaums does suck. But it's got legion. And it's not about the driver, it about abusing EULA terms to shaft their customers, threatening legal action to silence someone doing them a service, misrepresenting the abilities of their products and generally being asshats.

It's not only the money, it's the principle.
