LFE redirecti distortion is gone, and greatly improved over the older drivers.
OSD doesn't work in Win7, but I couldn't get that to work with other drivers either.
I'm very happy.

I'll be happy to add more.
I gotta say, this is quite an update. The sound quality is completely fixed, I'd say it's better then the older XP drivers I have installed on another computer. LFE quality is spot on, CMSS works, everything is working. I'm quite happy.
Just so you know, I'm running this on 32bit version of Windows 7, with X-fi Surround 5.1 running through a USB hub (that also has 2 external hard drives and a printer plugged in. The hub is not powered and I have no latency problems what so ever). The X-Fi is connect to a 5.1 amp with analog connections.
The OSD stuff doesn't work, but I've never gotten those to work in Windows 7, as I said before. Other then that everything is working just as advertised on the box. I'm extremely happy. So much so that I'm annoying my girlfriend with it

Hello All I am wishing to be able to get my Asus Rampage Extreme's stock card which is an Asus creative supremfx x-fi card to be able to work with all of it's features such as the cmss 3d , eq, crystalizer, surroung sound modes etc.
Back in January I switched to w7 beta, I have the 64bit version and have all other drivers working flawlessly except for the stock w7 audio driver is not capable of recognizing the supremfx x-fi card that I have.
Also, I have tryed uninstalling the w7 driver and putting the driver which came on dvd with the mb/card. That one does the same thing it is not recognized at all.
I also have tryed Daniel K's driver, and that one does not work either...it also is not recognizing the card.
All of the drivers I have tryed ' DO " work providing the stock sound so I do have sound, just I don't have access to the creative console where all of the surround eq and processing power to the card are controlled.
I am one of thousands of Asus Rampage I & II Extreme users who have this same card.
Asus is always slow to adapt to any new driver changes, and so I hope that with the assistance of all of you that I might be able to get the Asus Supremfx x-fi creative sound console working?
Thankx in advance

Hmm, are you sure about that. Rampage Extreme I & IIs' have a dedicated pcie audio card. The sound is not on the motherboard. I know that the card is using an audio 8-channel and is labeled supremefx x-fi.
I do know that the software is in fact x-fi, but the actual card does in fact have Analog Devices' new A2000DX part, the successor to their previous AD1988B chip

- ADI® AD2000B 8-channel High Definition Audio CODEC
- EAX® Advanced™ HD 4.0
- X-Fi CMSS®-3D
- X-Fi Crystalizer™
- Creative ALchemy
- Supports 1 x S/PDIF out header
- Supports Coaxial/Optical S/PDIF out ports on rear
As per the Maximus II Formula we reviewed recently, the Rampage Extreme supports Creative's new SoundBlaster X-Fi MB technology, which in essence uses the hardware codec of another audio processor (in this case Analog Devices' new A2000DX part, the successor to their previous AD1988B chip) coupled with software CPU utilisation to offer up much of the functionality of Creative's current X-Fi sound cards. This means that you get access to EAX functionality up to EAX 4.0 (meaning no EAX 5.0 support), as well as other features such as 3D CMSS and Crystalizer for improving sound quality. The lack of EAX 5.0 is also a bit of a blow, but at least with EAX 4.0 support you're in a far better position than you would normally be with a standard on-board sound solution."

Quite sure, and you even admitted it yourself,
I do know that the software is in fact x-fi, but the actual card does in fact have Analog Devices' new A2000DX part, the successor to their previous AD1988B chip
Do you really think that Creative is going to write drivers for someone else's sound card? You want Win 7 drivers, get on Asus' case to get one out.
