I've also seen a lot of posts (here and elsewhere) presumably from Creative about how a lot of people don't seem to understand the "licensing issues" and that is why Creative had to do this.
Note to Creative:
It's not that we don't understand the issues it's the fact that WE DON'T CARE about your issues only that you are selling customers (you know cutomers, the ones with the money you like so much) short and when someone steps up and fills a gap intentionally left by you, this is not the way to treat them.
And with this posting comes my final dealings with Creative.

yeah I already sold off my shares. I bought them in mid 2006, so I ended up losing a lot by selling them now. However, at the rate things are going, their stock will tank.
Now it's just a matter of watching the almighty ship that was Creative sink into pool of corporate failure while companies such as Asus fill the gap with much better products.

Why are all you Windoze fanboys whining? You love getting the shaft, that's why you stick with M$. Now Creative has shafted you and you whine like babys. Yeesh! They only gave you what you long for... the shaft. You should be thanking Creative.
Great now that we've had a useless post from a M$ bashing "zomg Iz teh l33t l1nux f4nb012, kthxbai" console jockey, this thread is officialy complete.

Creative really has been going downhill. It is just a matter of time people.
But the funny thing is that they insist on nailing the coffin shut by stunts like this.

Worst company ever and I have been a buyer of you products since your inception. I have had pretty much every one of your sound cards. I will NEVER buy another one of your products again.
another customer lost.

Whoever wasn't expecting this from a company such as Creative was a retard. They have proven time and time again that they don't care about their customers.
I have debated here numerous times and I even defended Creative when I felt they didn't deserve the flaming such as when stupid users didn't know how to set things up properly. I have also warned people numerous times that Creative doesn't care about its customers. They do not want repeat customers, they do not want you to enjoy your product long enough for your purchase to pay off -- they are the "hit and run" company.
This is not unexpected, Creative has crippled their products in the past by releasing "updates" which removed features they originally sold to you. However, they have never been held responsible for such theft.
I must say that I wasn't hoping to see such legal bull$hit from them, especially now when their market influence is marginal at best and when the company's future is at stake. It is as if the CEO is intentionally trying to completely ruin the company. Either that or the Creative CEO is an idiot. In either case an investigation is due.
But what are the others doing?!? Catherine? Dale? Why those ordinary people working there are accepting someone who leads them so incompetently right into the ground and below?!? What will you do tomorrow when the Creative goes bankrupt and when others start recognizing you as "those losers who worked for Creative" and start associating you with Creative's poor customer policy?!? You won't be able to land a job even as a pizza deliverers!
Engineers, Developers!!! Show some spine for God sake!
Don't let this poor management destroy what you have been working on so hard. Strike!!!

I have always bought creative products and have gotten a lot of other people to as well.
Even though I though customer support here in Ireland was good, no more will I buy from you.
