PAX Drivers Fixed My Driver Related Crackling Issues with XFI card

I have tried all the creative drivers, including the support pack 1.1 by Daniel K.    The PAX drivers are the only ones that fix my crackling sound.

There were two things causing my sound to crackle.

1) Crap Drivers

2) SLI Enabled and my Motherboard.

I fixed the crap drivers by using PAX drivers.

I fixed the SLI issue with my motherboard by doing a windows shutdown instead of a windows reboot.

I no longer have any crackling issues since I got these figured out 3 weeks ago.

My Hardware is:

EVGA 790i Ultra Sli Motherboard

3 GTX 280s in SLI

PCIE Titanium Fatality Sound Card         The PAX drivers that fixed this sound card are here: http://www.driverheaven.net/youp-pax-drivers/181684-pax-pcie-x-fi-titanium-os-v1-15-a.html

PAX drivers for all sound cards are located here:      http://www.driverheaven.net/youp-pax-drivers/

Great for you. BTW before closing the book on your issues, were you aware of this package? ->  Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Beta Driver 2.17.0007

Added Features and Enhancements:

  • Enables Dolby® Digital Live and DTS® Connect features.
  • Implements new workaround to improve compatibility issues with NVIDIA® graphics cards running in dual SLI™ configuration.

those 2.17.0007 are for windows 7.  I am using  Vista 64.     the 1.15 Robert made are based on the .0006    which are the newest drivers for my card in Vista 64.      The .0006  from creatiive don't fix my crackling.      The 1.15 PAX do fix it.        Basically, if I am not using the PAX driver 1.15, than I have to disable/enable   DDL and/or DTS encoding in between every application or I get crackling.

I am so happy that Robert McClelland made these.
