Okay, I bought my Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Digital card a little while back (off the shelf in a box covered in Creative Labs logos). Now I want to update my drivers, but apparently model number SB0220 isn't supported by Creative. So my question is, how do I find out who the supplier is so I can get drivers for this card more recent then 2003?

I don't want access to the CD that came with the card, I want a driver update.

Edit: I forgot to mention that ALL of the Creative website's driver installations refuse to see my card.

SB0220 is the number on one side of the card, to know exactly which model it is we'd need the number on the other side aswell. If it came supplied in a full retail (coloured) box, then it should be a retail card. Contact Customer Support in that case for assistance.

If it was a brown box/anti-static bag then it'll be supported by the supplier directly.

SB0220 is the MODEL number on both sides, the serial number is c6SB0228449003948U.
And yes, I bought it in a big colorful box with the Creative Labs logo on it in several places.

I've also contacted email customer support. I'm following up here out of a sense of throughness and overall irration that this card's model number isn't even listed on the website as a valid card.

The model number of that card is SB0228 (see the serial number).

Really? Then why do I see on two different places on the card "Model Number SB0220"?
Cause if the model number really is SB0228 that's just horrible design.

That is the model range, it can include a number of cards that are very similar. SB0228 is the specific card.

The it should be labeled "model range" or "series number" or something if the model number isn't really the model number. I mean, I would have checked the "how to find your model number" directions more throughly if there wasn't something directly on my card labeled "model number".
Reguardless, SB0228 is listed as the Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 card.
The driver installer for that card says I don't have a Sound Blaster audio card on my system. So back to the original question, how do I get new drivers for this card if the automated installer won't recognize it?

As I mentioned, you should really contact Customer Support for assistance. Some drivers on the site are only intended for specific cards/models.
