I have changed 2 things:

Changes:

11.Locate the audio header. Facing the rear of the circuit board, it is located along the left edge toward the rear on the digital board. It can be recognized by 6 white/black wire pairs. The pin closest to the rear(FRONT) is pin 12 (black).

7.a)On the digital board (top) a blank header labeled JP1(TP1) can be seen. Locate pin 1 (labeled) and carefully solder a wire to that point of about 8 inches. Ideally the wire would be color coated black.

Excellent work, ThxSound. Those are better pictures than I could have taken even if my camera had worked.

Thanks!!

@Meffy:
Megaworks THX 5.1 550 has analogical connectors (Front-In, Rear-In, Center/Subwoofer-In)and you won't have any problem. It is entirely compatible.

see you.

Re: X-Fi Digital Out

Hi all,

I own a DTT 3500 Digital and a DTT 2200 Analog speaker system. Its an insolence that CL did not think it would be necessary to point out that some digital speaker systems of their own brand would not be compatible with X-Fi's digital out.

Re: X-Fi Digital Out

Hello,

the mod is very good, but does the mod also works with inspire 5700?

At the moment to solve the problem I have a X-fi elite pro and a inspire 5700 connected. I also have a DTT2200 in the near, so I disconnected the Center Speaker from the 5700 and plug a phono socket adapter (2x phono plugs) on it, the first phono plug goes to the DTT2200 and the second goes back to the inspire 5700.

So it works if I power on my DTT2200 and no one else increase the volume on it but I`m very angry about creative! I too thought if connect in the future only creative soundcards the inspire 5700 works for years but now I`m disappointed!

I hope there will be a solution from creative site because it can´t be that you will get punished because you bought several time ago a high quality product to enjoy games and DVD.

I think so. Both sets are similar less 5700´s DTS decoder and SLAM Subwoofer.

Disassemble the Inspire 5700 and take a look.
