well seeing as I made the thread title in November I guess it can stay that way...

I do occaisionally pop in, and I must say this:

I doubt most would have a problem with the features not being there, If the **bleep** cards worked to begin with.

My audigy 2 zs still crackles and hisses in vista.  Took a year for my xfi to stop.

Whats really bad is that my Chaintech av-710 $20 card from several years back, has worked flawlessly in vista, even during the driver betas.

A beta driver for a $20 sound card is stable while $100-$200 sound cards with whql aren't a year and a half since vista got released.  pathetic.

I am personally going to be buying a different sound card when I upgrade my pc, and it's not because Daniel_K made workarounds.

Sure, the x-fi sounds alot better then most of my sound cards, but what the hell good does it do if it crackles and hisses?

Also, the one click highlight all feature of this forum doesn't work in Firefox 3. Either that or they fixed it.

awww, they removed my picture of a tumbleweed.....

I've already had hardy for over a month Pulse audio is still giving me pains...

maybe they have solved the large picture issue as well?

The tumblweed is still there for me.  And I think the large picture issue is a forum thing.  The forum server should update to 8.04
