just got the HD 2nd Gen from Amazon's deal of the day last week. Was really looking forward to it but not getting it to work

1) plugged in to charge via USB - all looking good. I see a full (100%) green battery in to right - so i am presuming fully charged

2) take off of USB and try to turn on - NOTHING HAPPENS

3) re-attach to USB, see a red light come on very quickly to the right of the lens AND then on the back screen i see about 5 seconds of image - then it goes back to battery charge.

Cannot get this thing to turn on after 15+ hours of charging.

any ideas ?
