For all 20K1 Retail card owners, please use the driver in the Legacy folder.
For OEM and SI Bulk cards owners (SB077X series), please use the driver in the Hendrix Folder

I have not heard of an OEM Titanium Fatal1ty Champion card yet. Use the file found under Legacy. The beta driver fixes the issue on delayed shutdown only and not the DTS issue. Take note that it is a beta driver and you are not oblidge to install it if you don't want to. That fixes the problem on a similar issue on other x-fi card models using the 2.18.0013 driver.
@Sjlabuda:
As far as I know, the problem with the previous release of the version 2.17.0007 had the CPU usage bug wherein if you enable DDL, there is a spike in CPU usage. So that was fixed when we re-released the driver with the fix included. The DTS causing shutdown issues on 2.17.0007 is new to me. That's why I sent Bazzjedi and Brutes a PM and if they are willing to try the beta driver. Check out the 2.17.0007 feedback thread.

I'm confused. I'm using the latest driver that I am aware of, 2.17.0007, and it does have the windows shutdown hang if DTS encoding is enabled. Windows shuts down fine if DTS encoding is disabled. Are you indicating that we should use the older beta driver 2.17.0006?
Also, any idea why I have to specify "Speakers" as the playback device to get audio over optical out when DTS is enabled? I have not heard anything from customer support for5 days now.

Thanks Bazzjedi.
I did get another reply from Creative support last night. They indicated that the driver and console have been augmented to support Windows 7, but that the DDL/DTC encoder is currently not supported by Windows 7. The DTS encoding does work, it just causes Window 7 shutodwn to hang. I think it's really a driver problem, not the encoding software, but either way I hope it will be fixed soon.

Hi Loi,
sorry for delay not been able to get to PC due to work, I have loaded driver and installed but unfortunately when I turned the encoder settings on for DTS my PC hangs as before. I cannot jug if my PC shuts down any faster with the beta driver than before, with encoder turned off my PC had been shutting down fine before.
As before when I have turned the encoder on I have had to reinstall wdm driver this reappears on windows update and I reinstalled 217 and this time the beta driver. I have done this because the Creative up date manager will not recognise I have any creative software on board, this time it still will not recognise I have even after reinstalling those drivers the only one I have not repeated is 2.61 console, I will do this later it seemed to work last time.
Hope this helps so creative can solve the problem
regards Bazzjedi

I am having the EXACT same problem with my new Windows 7 install. My computer hangs, and will not shut down. Thank god I fell into this thread so I can start tampering with my X-FI Titanium PCI card. And before I posted this, I am finding alot of other sites reporting the same. Hope there is a fix soon.
Thanks

I solved the problem by not installing the DDL and the DTS encoder packs.
So far everything is working fine now. ![]()
