Quick question for you Daniel.

What did you do to get it to show the cards supports EAX, etc in Everest (screen shot you posted previously)?

I can verify this works because ALchemy now works in any mode (Creation, Entertainment, and Gaming) on my X-Fi, where as the official ALchemy only works with Gaming mode.  Great Stuff!

Now I'm using X-Fi drivers and X-Fi Alchemy on my Audigy 2

Serves Creative right for:

• Telling lies that Audigy was different to X-Fi under Vista, clearly it's not that complex to convert. Not nearly worth paying for or waiting 6 months for.

• Withholding Audigy drivers. i'm not buying your X-Fi. I'm not buying anything Creative again.

Macrovision, eh? If that's true it might explain why some people are indicating that the download and DLL's are larger than earlier releases.

I own an X-Fi. If Alchemy contains Macrovision code, I'll take a pass. Thanks for the warning. Creative should be ashamed. Perhaps spending less time on integrating piracy prevention technology and more time on the software and drivers is in order.

It works! I've got surround sound in World of Warcraft (I'll try other games when I eventually get to play them).

As for your Creative, I'd love to just type up a filthy post and go nuts, but even you don't deserve that.

For the past few months I've had to endure poor sound support through shoddy drivers and ignorant customer service. I'm glad this has come about. People should NOT have to pay more bloody money to use their hardware! I can't believe you can even get away with it. If nvidia will fix my video card, you can fix my sound card. After all Vista was in the making for a long time. Can't beat the deadline? Okay, Vista has been out for a fair amount of time. You're still ignoring Audigy/Live! users.

My Sound Blaster 8-bit is still on my shelf, my Audigy 2 will be the last. I will never buy one of your products again. I won't let some money bloated coorporation lie to me like that.
