Re: Audigy 2 ZS: Got Stereo Surround working and maybe 6.1?

Daniel,

That would be killer!

First you fixed my joystick port, now you may fix my speakers! This man deserves a medal or something. Or maybe a job offer.

Yea, great stuff. I'm still amazed at the features Creative failed to implement in Vista drivers.
I must confess though, "Stereo Surround" and "CMSS2" always sounded the same to me.
I like the "Off" option best!

The Equalizer, however is probably one of my favourite apps in XP. :smileyhappy:

Any chance of seeing the THX console in Vista too? lol

Re: New Audigy driver status: 4Gb RAM, Equalizer, Stereo Surround, 6.1 (untested)

I actually had to register when I read this :smileyhappy: It really sounds to good to be true, big thanks to all your efforts in looking for and modifing drivers!
If this one really runs with all those features, absolutely incredible!!! Here`s hoping for a quick release :smileywink:

Here is the kicker:

Does this fix the blank speaker selection bug?

I give up. I've tried to explain to you before that this bug is caused by Creative entries being left behind, and not over-written by new installs.
Until you clean ALL Creative entries no driver installers will present options in Audio Console.

Maybe just install kX Project, it will work -thus proving it's the Creative software on your PC! :manmad:

EDIT:

I apologize as I did not check on that other thread.

Thanks to help from CCleaner for extra registry cleaning and Daniel's Audigy Software CD, my issue has been resolved.

A couple of those removals were VERY persistent and I had use both Driver Sweeper and the manual directions together with some searching in Regedit and the System Folders to make sure any trace of anything Creative was gone.
