Re: SB Audigy series Vista Support Pack, including drivers and applications (10/28)

Hi again, Dan.....

This looks like your all in one revision that you have said would be coming....if I do a complete wipe out of all things Creative, (which I would normally do), will all the applications that you have so kindly worked so hard on replicating such as MediaSource 5, Wavestudio, Vienna, etc. be reinstalled? Or do I do this another way? Thanks so much again for all of your effort.

Re: SB Audigy series Vista Support Pack, including drivers and applications (10/28)

Hi,

First off thanks for providing this pack, the idea is great. HOWEVER I am running into issues. I have an Audigy 2 ZS, which is listed as supported by your information listed above, however, upon running the installer (or the extracted setup.exe), I get a message warning me that a compatible device was not found.

Any ideas?

Windows Vista Ultimate - SP1 Beta
Audigy 2 ZS

All drivers and creative software/related files removed before attempting setup :smileyhappy:

OK, I have managed to get the software installed. Looks good so far. However, I can't get the "Speaker Setup" to show the options. I have read the other posts, uninstalled all creative software, removed all creative registry entries, removed all creative files in Windows and System32 but cannot get that one bit to work.

I have also used CCleaner to no effect.

Help! One last thing to work out!

Thanks again :smileyhappy:

*edit* It also seems Creative Audio Center is not working. It tells me no supported audio device is available. However, Audio Console and other software seems to be fine.

Any ideas?

What is the PCI Device ID of your card?

It can be found in Device Manager -> device properties -> Details.

Something like PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_20021102 (for an Audigy 2 ZS).

This is just a basic package including the applications required to configure your soundcard.

There is nothing new for you. If you want Audio Center, just download the standalone version from the other thread.

hey daniel,

thanks for your work. does this version support x-fi extreme music retail
as well? tried your last pack and it works very well, but the dts causes
powerdvd to lag very badly when set to spdif.
any chance this is fixed with this version?

thanks again,
