Re: I'm quitting the driver/software modding - read official statement from Creative

Now Audigy owners are left in the dark, no Equalizer, no CMSS, no DVD Audio, no Hardware MIDI, no Dolby/DTS decoding.

Re: I'm quitting the driver/software modding - read official statement from Creative

Creative has no respect, not for Daniel_K, not for it's customers, they have no selfrespect.

I and many users with me will warn, anybody who's looking to buy a new pc, to stay far from Creative products. It won't take long before we can read the news of their bankrupcy, they will have nobody else but themselves to blame for that. Plenty of competitive product available nobody will miss them.

What will be missed is the CREATIVITY from people like Daniel_K

His drivers will be around for a long time CREATIVE, in all their wisDUMB, underestimates the power of the web and taking Daniel_K's links from this forum was a completely obsolete action.
Many copies float around and many links will surface in many forums containing many posts taht will tell the real story about CREATIVE's ignorant behaviour.

Thanks to Daniel, I have nothing but the greatest respect for you. Regards    Peter

Shame on you CREATIVE, I have nothing but revengefull feelings towards you. No regards    Peter

Dale removed everything I posted, including the Audigy Support Pack, that does not enable any "new" feature, except those present in XP drivers. I think you went too far.

I checked with management, and it was decided we would bring back the Audigy Support Pack thread and allow you to continue in that endeavor.  As long as no intellectual property of Creative is distributed, we will have no problem with it. I will get the thread reposted shortly.

Does this mean that if we want to make a donation to him for his efforts, read carefully, FOR HIS EFFORTS not for the drivers, that we can do this freely without getting him into trouble?

what? is this a joke?????? do you know what a donation is? I would understand if daniek_k said - right now if you want to get the drivers you have to pay X amount. But NO he allows everyone to download his drivers! I think he should go on and start selling the drivers because in a way the stuff you are doing is unacceptable 1.st you DO NOT SUPPORT YOUR OWN CUSTOMERS! 2nd YOU DO NOT ALLOW OTHERS TO DO THE JOB YOU WERE / ARE SUPPOSED TO DO!

Re: I'm quitting the driver/software modding - read official statement from Creative

After witnessing this poor display from Creative management, I'm going to blacklist all Creative branded products from my ebay store and my brick and mortor. I won't be restocking any Creative products once I sell my existing inventory, and the inventory that I can still return to my distrubutor, I will do so on Monday.

I will suggest that others do the same, I don't feel confident that Creative will provide future support for their products.

[ Edited ]

I hope Daniel_K you will change idea...

For the moment I can say you only “Good luck”

@Creative Labs: but if Daniel_k or another person will improve Audigy and X-Fi drivers features using Open Source software? Will this another “steal” of your “goods”?

I'm using Daniel's driver for my Audigy 2 Value 'cause your driver sucks too much! With the "official" drivers (they are still betas with a fake WHQL sign -.-') the audio is terrible, many games crashes, Alchemy for Audigy (9$ -.-'), last version aka 1.35, works very bad and I get a pair of BSOD. With the Daniel's drivers I don't have almost crashes, or bad audio or bad music, ALchemy works very fine... I think you CL must be only grateful to Daniel_K 'cause he did YOUR work! This story of IP and rights is only an excuse to hide your bad support and your incompetence.
The network will know this unhappy story and YOU CreativeLabs will lose other customers...
