I write this thread again, this time have better text desing

Again thank to daniel_k he found this driver and I only tweak and summarize info to sb live series users.

Sound Blaster Live series 4.1 - 5.1 vista 32/64 driver (based on sb x-fi driver)

This Driver have Full OpenAL support, Surround sound, Louder volume, audio console functional, Microsoft enhancements (These enhancements allow highly advanced Bass Management Control, Speaker Fill similar to CMSS, but MS sounds better, Room Correction and Loudness Equalization) and same XP´sound quality.

Eax work with Alchemy¡

1-Uninstall old driver

2-Run setup, if ask the driver not whql,install anyway the driver work just fine reboot

3-Install Audio Console reboot, this is important to surround sound work, if not install audio console the sound only pass through two front speakers

4-If you hear distortion sound, change speakers to 4 or 5.1 (preferably use audio console if doesn't show anything use windows mixer to change speakers but leave audio console installed to surround sound work) ; or change sample rate option in panel control, 48000hz 16bit work for me, if you can´t hear any sound after install the driver or change speaker setting, only mute and unmute volume in windows mixer and this fix the problem.

You can try too "Creative control panel" for change speakers and EAX effects, you find in my driver package here address:
vista 32 bits
SBAX_2_12_0001_20\common\i386\ctpanel.exe (just run ctpanel.exe then create own shortcut)
vista 64 bits
SBAX_2_12_0001_20\common\amd64\ctpanel.exe
But again leave audio console installed to surround sound work

5-The sounds in Windows Vista enviroment have only two channel, test multichannel sounds in games how "Bioshock", "Prey" or try DVD 5.1 surround sound movie.

Note: For multichannel sounds in windows vista environment, you have to enable Speaker Fill option in control panel - sound enhancements setting.

I test multichannel 4 and 5.1 sounds successfully in Bioshock demo.

Other info

Audio console work¡¡ EAX work in games¡, Winamp and EAX´s effect in audio console work too¡

For this,use Creative_Alchemy_Universal_1.00.04 or Creative_ALchemy_1.00.03 both Daneil_K mod.

Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 5.10.38 work too¡

Winamp 5.5 work perfect with ALchemy Universal 1.00.04 for SB Live! / Audigy

have full support hardware acceleration and multi speakers, the sound is very good¡¡

Gracias a daniel_k nuestro eterno agradecimiento a esta persona que practicamente solo da vida a toda la linea de placas de sonido de creative, el encontro este controlador yo solo le hice unos pelliscos y resumi toda la informacion concerniente a las sb live para que los usuarios de estas puedan disfrutar del controlador sin problemas.

Controlador para Sound Blaster Live series 4.1 - 5.1 vista 32/64 (basado en un controlador de sb x-fi)

Este controlador tiene completo soporte de OpenAL, sonido multicanal, alto nivel de volumen, consola de audio funcional, Microsoft mejoras las cuales son: avanced Bass Management Control, Speaker Fill similar to CMSS, but MS sounds better, Room Correction and Loudness Equalization, y una calidad de sonido muy similar a la que tenemos en XP.

¡Eax trabraja muy bien con Creative ALchemy!

Instrucciones

1- Desintala el controlador anterior

2- Ejecutar el setup, si te dice que el controlador no esta firmado o verificado instalalo igual el controlador anda perfectamente, reinicia el equipo.

3- Instala la consola de audio de creative y reinicia el equipo, esto es importante para que el sonido multicanal funcione, si no instalas la consola de audio el sonido solo pasara por los dos parlantes delanteros.

4-si tras la instalacion tienes un sonido distorcionado cambia los parlantes a 4.1 o 5.1 preferentemente utiliza la consola de audio para esto pero si por alguna razon no funciona utiliza el mesclador de windows igualmente deja la consola de audio instalada para que el sonido multicanal funcione; o cambia la conversion de muestreo en el panel de control de sonido en windows a mi me funciona bien con 48000hz 16bit, si no puedes escuchar nada despues de instalar el controlador o cambiar las opciones de los parlantes, haz click en el icono de volumen en el mesclador de windows para silenciar el sonido luego has click devuelta y esto deberia solucionar el problema. que lo disfruten.

5- el sonido en windows vista ambiente solo tiene dos canales, testea el sonido multicanal en juegos como Bioshock o Prey

Para sonido multicanal en windows vista ambiente debes activar la opcion "relleno de altavoces" que se encuantra en panel de control -sonido - propiedades - mejoras

Yo teste el sonido multicanal 4 y 5.1 en Bioshock demo y anduvo perfectamente.

Otra informacion

La consola de audio funciona muy bien con los efectos EAX y todo, los juegos el winamp todo soporta EAX para los juegos y el winamp hay que usar Creative_Alchemy_Universal_1.00.04 or Creative_ALchemy_1.00.03 ambos son modificaciones de ALchemy echas por Daniel_k que andan bien sobre las sb llive.

Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 5.10.38 funciona tambien.

Winamp 5.5 funciona muy bien con ALchemy Universal 1.00.04 for SB Live! / Audigy tiene completa acceleracion de hardware, y eax.

Instruciones para winamp y otros reproductores.

Copia el archivo dsound.dll que hay en el directorio de ALchemy y pegalo en la carpeta del winamp, has lo mismo con otros reproductores.

Todas estas aplicaciones trabajan muy bien en winXP con todas las sb live series utilizado el ultimo driver de XP para las Audigy version

5.12.4.1196, no probe todas en Vista con mi driver pero se que algunas como SoundFont Bank Manager 3.20.06 trabaja muy bien, disfrutenlas.

The only problem i had was that the Audio Console setup says that there's a missing .dll so I downloaded another Audio Console and worked

hey i have a Sb live! 4.1 (CT4830) and i tried these drivers. I'm using windows XP (not vista) and i can install them fine (if i use device manager to force the install) cuz i think they have like an XP inf in the drivers. anyways, it seems to work fine--music and system sounds. but when i load up Battlefield 2, i can only hear the EAX effects and nothing else. no gunshots no radio. and i have a feeling it has to do with either OpenAL or me not having vista.

This driver work in Windows Vista 32/64 not work in Windows XP, for XP use last official creative driver , they work fine, download XP driver in creative web page.
