Has this package software for the remote in Audigy 2 ZS Platinum to work? 2.15.002 is working really nice... The rest of the softawre I won't use, I only want the remote to work...

Remote is working but not like the old remote control UI. Give it a try.

So *like* is everyone able to get this to work, but me?
I have tested so far on 2 different machines with Audigy 2.  :smileymad:

Is this Audigy Driver customized for Vista Enhanced or is it becouse of my old driver?
I uninstalled it but after reboot, driver automatically installed.

Would someone be kind enough to seed this ISO via bittorrent? Thanks.

I couldn't edit my previous post. After trying to open every .exe files in the CTRun and CTEngine, finally Autorun started.
I think sound is louder, application GUI is nice, no problem so far.
Thanks Daniel.

The CD was designed to use the Autorun feature, like every Creative Installation CD.

Just run CTRun\Start.EXE.

If Autorun is disabled, you can always find the loader by opening AUTORUN.INF and looking for the "open=" entry.

It is not driver related and would not consider the 1272 driver a beta, as it is the one included in the official X-Fi Vista CD (so we could say it is a production version of the driver).

I choose it because it is the latest multilanguage driver available and works really well, although I'm compiling an updated version of the CD with the 2.15.0002 (Build 1302) driver and Diagnose unavailable under 64-bit OSes.

I don't think your problems are hardware-related, but the CD was throughly tested on the following system:
- Intel C2D E6400
- 2GB RAM
- Gigabyte 965P-DS3
- Audigy2 ZS

Did you uninstall every single Creative software and the driver?
Disabled UAC? This is mandatory, or the components will not register.

You must delete the following registry keys:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Creative Tech
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Creative Tech
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Creative Tech

And these files/folders:
- C:\Windows\System32\BMX*.rfx
- C:\Windows\System32\Data
- C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Data (64-bit only)
- C:\Windows\{*.BAK
- C:\Windows\{*.CDF - Under Vista, this one requires additional actions to be successfully deleted, see below.

Type the following command in the Command Prompt (requires Admin Privileges or UAC disabled):
takeown /f C:\Windows\*.CDF
cacls C:\Windows\*.CDF /G User:F

User is your username, which must have admin rights. Answer Y (yes) to confirm the changes.

Now close the prompt, open Windows Explorer and delete the files with filenames like these:
{00000005-00000000-00000002-00001102-00000004-20021102}.BAK
{00000005-00000000-00000002-00001102-00000004-20021102}.CDF

Grabbed a fresh Windows Vista x86 install and tried again... only to receive the same error when launching applications. The music plays in WMP now though. :smileyvery-happy:

I'll delete the files and try again on machine number 2 and see if it cures the "empty speaker selecton" bug that many people seem to have.

Thanks again Mr K, shame those very few applications don't all work for me on this system -but the ones that do are 100% better than just the Creative Audio Console that CL supplied.

...not to mention the card is fully functioning now - I dont really need Surround Mixer that much lol.
GG, well played.

For the record, here's a list of the objects needing a delete before driver install:

- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Creative Tech
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Creative Tech
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Creative Tech
- HKEY_LOCAL_Machine\Software\ASIO

And these files/folders:

- C:\Windows\System32\BMX*.rfx
- C:\Windows\System32\Data
- C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Data (64-bit only)
- C:\Windows\{*.BAK
- C:\Windows\{*.CDF
- C:\Windows\CTDCRES.DLL
- C:\Windows\System32\cttele32.dll
- C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CTDVDA2K.SYS
- C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CTOSS2K.SYS
- C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CTSFM2K.SYS
- C:\Program Files\Creative (delete whole folder)

Thanks to Daniel K for helping to compile the complete list of uninstall objects.
