Has anyone with SP1 32 bit had success using the built in decoder for dts/dolby digital playback? The drivers work great for spdif passthrough but as far as using the decoder, after following the directions, I can never get media player classic or any media player to play dts or dolby surround on my audio receiver. When I go to test the digital output in the windows sound control panel, the levels section with the dts/dolby/wma labels, it's supposed to send a tone to all of my 5.1 speakers like it does with spdif passthrough, but only plays the tones for the front two speakers. And with the ac3 filter and adjusting all the options, media player classic will only ever play dolby PL 2 using two speakers.

I have an audigy 2 zs using a digital coax cable on the spdif out jack to my receiver. I tried another receiver with the same results.

SPDIF passthrough is fine for my needs I guess, just wondering if anyone with SP1 has had success.

Re: SB Audigy series Vista Support Pack v2.15.0004EQ with Equalizer (02/24/2008)

Thank you for all your hard work on this project. I look forward to using the software, but I can't get the SPDIF to output anything at all. I'm a home theater enthusiast and analog vs. digital sound is not a point of confusion for me. I'd appreciate any help that can be thrown my way, however, as SOMETHING is obviously a point of confusion for me. Thanks in advance.

HARDWARE SETUP:
I have the rear SPDIF port (I've also tried the front one) hooked up to the digital coax port on a receiver with all the necessary decoders.

SOFTWARE SETUP:
I've selected SPDIF as my default playback device and tested it. When the test runs, I can see the green bars light up on the software's VU meter so the machine is under the impression that something is being sent to the SPDIF port. Unfortunately, there is no sound.

Inasmuch as my receiver will only allow a digital sound source to be coupled with an HDMI video signal (which is coming from my PC's DVI port), I don't have the option of using the analog sound.

SYSTEM:
Core 2 Duo
4 GB RAM
SB Audigy 2 ZS Platinum
Vista Ultimate 64-bit

GM  Daniel K

You ask to me

¨Change the speakers configuration then set it back to the desired setting, the volume should be louder.

Actually these drivers are not quieter, the way the volume control works has changed, to provide fine tuning for lower volume. "

I use Audigy2 analog 2.0 with a amplifier 150 W *2 then Kef series C60, for a normal use. When the computer restart, if the level of amplifier is more louder, i ear in box speaker (wooofffff) when the driver is loading and that samething, when i put of the computer.

I know why, before with the first driver, i can ajust .waw file for more louader, then with a low power for the amplifier i din't ear that sound in the speaker.

That why, i have suggest a ajustement for +24 Db in the Équalizer. I sure, i had saw this ajustment of +24 Db in créative Pakage Before.

Re: SB Audigy series Vista Support Pack v2.15.0004EQ with Equalizer (02/24/2008)

Is there anyway to adjust Mic settings with this software? I can't seem to find the full volume control with settings like "What U Hear" to turn down. Whenever I use my mic it comes across the speakers full blast and I can't figure out how to mute it and just make it output, not playback.

Open the Windows Sound properties, click on the Recording tab and make sure that the mic is set as default. Then click on Properties and make your adjustments there.

The only options in that window is for Line In 1/Mic, nothing for the output levels.
